Berks County Horticulture Club

water liliesVolunteer Checklist

New members are always welcome. Our meetings are designed to be both educational and enjoyable. We appreciate everyone who shows up for a meeting. Since we are a volunteer organization nothing gets done until someone agrees to do it. To keep the club vital and growing we need our members to help in any way they can.

Here are some ways you can help the Hort Club:

  • Join the Hospitality Committee
  • Serve as club photographer (digital pics required)
  • Become a Special Interest Group leader:
In recent years we have had a number of Special Interest Groups including Native Plants, Landscape Design, Seed Starters & Perennials. These groups are not active at this time. We are looking for volunteers to head any of these groups. The job involves scheduling meetings, planning trips, recruiting speakers. If interested in reviving any of our special interest groups or starting a new one, please contact Vicky Sokoloff.

Give it some thought and call any board member to see what you can do for your Hort Club. The best way to turn your ideas into reality is to get involved. Like most volunteer organizations we can use all the help you willing to give. However, there are no obligations.
